A former Product Developer and Head of Sustainability at Sephora, Tiila Abbitt founded ĀTHR Beauty to bridge the gap between ethical beauty, sustainability, and truly high-performing, innovative and luxurious vegan formulas.
ĀTHR Beauty was born in the light of the desert sun in Tucson, AZ. Inspired by the plants around her, Tiila infuses every product with organic, sustainably-sourced desert oils that smooth, brighten, boost collagen, and hydrate for healthier skin over time. Desert-derived ingredients like prickly pear seed oil thrive in harsh, moisture-starved desert climates, and bring their resilient, restorative magic to your skin. The result is highly pigmented, intentional beauty inspired by the desert.
Sustainability is at the heart of every decision we make, from ingredient sourcing to packaging and shipping. In 2018, Tiila created the beauty industry's first zero-waste eyeshadow palette and she didn't stop there! All our packaging is made from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable through PACT Collective. We use organic, ocean-safe, biodegradable, ethically-sourced ingredients, and ban over 3000 ingredients that could harm you, animals, or the planet.
Tiila created ĀTHR Beauty to do better, that’s why we only work with factories based in the US, Canada, and Europe to ensure fair and ethical treatment of the people creating our products from the growers to the manufacturers.

This certification means that each inch of paper we use comes from responsibly sourced wood fiber.

Using soy-based inks does more than make our packaging pop, it allows all our paper products to remain recyclable.
Recycled Aluminum
All our eyeshadow pans are made of recycled aluminum that can be recycled once again. Hitting pan has never felt so good.
